Fargo's Thought for the Day:
Top 10 Ways to Prepare for Battlefield: 1942
I can't help it ... I can't stop raving about Battlefield 1942 because I can't stop playing it. The full game will be out in just a couple short weeks or so. What can we do in the meantime -- well, besides play the demo until we see Wake Island in our sleep? I've put together this helpful list of steps you can take to get ready for the final game:
10. Drive a Jeep. Really, really fast.
9. Remove unnecessary "bed" from house to make way for dedicated LAN gaming room
8. Have the History channel on, nonstop
7. Post maps of Midway or Guadalcanal around the apartment
6. Learn how to repair an entire fighter plane using a single wrench
5. Convince History teacher that Stalingrad coulda been won with a better ping
4. Watch the tank-chase scene from Indiana Jones 3 over and over
3. Practice sneaking up behind neighborhood cars with a bazooka
2. Paint your house in desert camo
1. Learn handy German phrases, such as "Aus dem Panzer heraus und lassen einen Erwachsenen fahren, treten taube Testikel." ("Step out of the tank and let an adult drive, numbnuts.")
